Parks Optical

Parks started in 1954 and eventually began the manufacture of telescope parts. In later years they began to manufacturer all types of telescopes and accessories. Starting in 1986 Parks offered a line of quality refractors.

The PRT-1 had a 60mm f/11.7 objective with .956" accessories and 5x24 finder on an alt-az mount. The PRT-2 placed a similar 60mm f/11.7 optical tube, but with a reflex finder on a better quality slo mo alt-az mount. The PRT-46 was supplied with a 60mm f/15 objective, the reflex finder and .956 focuser. This was suported by a slo mo equatorial mount. All were mounted on wood tripods. The PRT-813 model was added to the line in 1991. The the 80mm f/11 optical assembly was placed on a good, tirpod mounted GEM with dual slo-mo controls and outfitted with a 6x30 finder and a 1 ¼" focuser, star diagonal and eyepiece.
