This company was founded in 1958 in Candor, New York with an excellent reputation since 1969 providing amateur telescope accessories such as eyepieces, then Brandon refractor objectives, and finally refractor optical tubes in the 1980s. Several nice small refractors of various, relatively short focal lengths were offered during the early 1980s.

| In 1986 Vernonscope offered its first Brandon refractor. This was an 80mm f/6.25 triplet apochromatic optical tube with a 2" focuser, diagonal and eyepiece with a photo tripod adapter. | ||
| A new Brandon 80mm f/6 apochromatic triplet was offered in 1996 which used ED glass. This was supplied with a rubber armored tube and dew cap, a 2" focuser, diagonal and eyepiece and a carrying case. With the standard 32mm Brandon eyepiece the telescope displayed a 4 degree wide field, so no finder was needed. The telescope weighed in at only 3 pounds. | ||

In 1987 a 92mm f/7 refractor with a Roland Christen designed triplet apochromatic lens. The telescope was supplied with a 2" focuser and was generally mounted on a sturdy Unitron alt-az mount. In 1988 this same telescope was slightly revised with a 94mm f/7 objective. In 1990 this telescope was revised again with a lighter tube and a simpler lens cell and dew shade. Since the company became distributors for Aus Jena in 1990 their telescopes were also offered on Aus Jena alt-az and equatorial mounts. | |

| In 1989 a Brandon 130mm f/8 apochromatic triplet was introduced, with an oversize focuser. Like its smaller brother, it too could be supplied on a heavy Unitron alt-az mount, or later on an Aus Jena alt-az or equatorial mount with drive and 10x40 finder. | ||
